BASILISK
This creature is reputed to be the King of serpents and has the power of causing death with a single look. A reflection of their eye can leave you petrified, but direct contact causes instant death.
It is said that the basilisk was the king of snakes and once the most poisonous creature alive. Its name comes from the greek word basielus, not surprisingly, meaning king.
They are green, and can reach up to 50 feet long. They have exceptional venomous fangs, but their main danger is their eyes. But, of course, their appearance has never been confirmed and is often disputed since it is impossible to see a basilisk and survive.
It is said that spiders flee from them and a rooster's crow is fatal to them.
