Dumbledore's Army

"Dumbledore's Army" is an illegal student association composed mostly of Gryffindor and a few Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students.

During their fifth year, Hermione asked Harry to teach some willing students how to defend themselves against the dark arts and Dark Lord, Voldemort. Ginny Weasley chose the name as an ironic tribute to the Ministry of Magic's suspicions of Albus Dumbledore.

Potter has lived with his magic-hating muggle aunt and uncle after Lord Voldemort killed his parents when he was a baby. Harry's best friends are Ron Weasleyand Hermione Granger, who join him in most of his rule-breaking adventures. Harry excells at Quidditch, where we plays Seeker, and Defense against the Dark Arts.
Ron Weasley	5	Co-founder of Dumbledore's Army. Best friends of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger throughout his years at Hogwarts. Incredibly loyal, though can be moody and simple-minded in his worst moments. Tends to be under-estimated and overshadowed due to his close friendship with Harry and Hermione. Serves as Griffindor keeper during his 5th year. Was made a prefect along with Hermione Granger. Son of Arthur and Molly Weasley, younger brother of Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred and George Weasley, older brother of Ginny Weasley.
Hermione Granger	5	Co-founder/adjutant; Served in battle (Battle of Ministry, Battle of Hogwarts), best friend of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, best witch in her year, extremely gifted in all areas of magic, know-it-all, very supportive, part of the Slug Club in year 6, a prefect, girlfriend of the Bulgarian Quidditch team seeker Viktor Krum in her 4th year, petrified in year 2 by the basilisk, has a cat named Crookshanks from year 3 and on who is actually a kneazle, daughter of muggles who are both dentists
Lavender Brown	5	best friend of Parvati Patil, girlfriend of Ron Weasly in year 6, could be a "Seer", has a soft spot for Trelawny and cute boys
Katie Bell	6	chaser on the Gryffindor house team since Harry's first year, cursed in the 6th year by a necklace from Borgin and Burke's
Colin Creevey	4	"Harry Potter's Biggest Fan" has a strange obsession cameras, was petrifed in year 2 by the basilisk, a wee bit "jumpy", not so great at D.A.D.A, son of muggles, older brother of Dennis Creevy
Dennis Creevey	2	also a big fan of Harry Potter and not so good at D.A.D.A, son of muggles, younger brother of Colin Creevey
Seamus Finnigan	5	roommate of Harry and Ron's, doesn't believe Harry at first because his mother is a strong believer in the Prophet, comes around and supports Harry later, Irish, big supporters of the Irish quidditch team, son of muggle father and witch motherr
Angelina Johnson	7	captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team in year 5, went to the Yule Ball with Fred Weasly, chaser for Gryffindor
Lee Jordan	7	best friend of Fred and George Weasly, commentator for the quidditch games, has a knack for practical jokes
Neville Longbottom	5	Served in battle (Battle of Ministry, Battle of Hogwarts), the other boy who could have been "the boy who lived", friend and roommate of Harry and Ron, excelent at Herbology not so good at anything else until the DA, has a toad named Trevor, lives with his grandmother Augusta Longbottom do to the fact that his parents were turtored to the point of insanity by Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange, son of Alice and Frank Longbottom
Parvati Patil	5	best friend of Lavender Brown, twin sister of Padma Patil (ravenclaw), also has a soft spot for Trelawny and cute boys, went to the yule ball with Harry Potter
Alicia Spinnet	7	chaser on the Gryffindor quidditch team
Dean Thomas	5	friend and roommate of Harry and Ron's, Ginny Weasly's boyfriend at the end of year 5 and through most of 6
Fred and George Weasley	7	Best friends with Lee Jordan, extremely good prankers, use truly amazing magic to make toys and jokes and such, owners of Weasly's Wizard Wheezes sons of Arthur and Molly Weasly, younger brothers of Bill, Charlie and Percy Weasly, and older brothers of Ron and Ginny Weasly
